Sustainability isn’t going anywhere in 2020, with retailers who reduce their carbon footprint standing out from the competition. Like the 2010’s, technology will continue to be a factor in which brick-and-mortar stores really stand out – Adidas’ London Flagship store, with its virtual mirrors and Sainsbury’s till-free store were some of the highfliers in 2019.
