Overview

Warehouse and Oasis are British clothing retailers; Warehouse is aimed at urban city-living women and Oasis is aimed at women looking for affordable and accessible clothing. Retail247 were chosen to solve their product data challenges, with an initial view to automate the provision of data to concession partners such as John Lewis and Brown Thomas, in a timely and consistent fashion. Retail247 deployed their cloud-based service Origin to solve the product data challenges.

The Problem

Retailers such as Warehouse and Oasis are often successful due to their multi-channel nature. Customers are demanding a multi-channel experience but supplying product data for these channels can be challenging for retailers due to differing formats, timings and content. Often this requires manual intervention, complex mapping and cross-referencing.

This is time consuming and costly, a burden that only increases for the retailer with every additional channel, but concession partners demand this information and they want readily available access to it.

The Solution

Retail247 provided an innovative solution in the form of their scalable cloud-based service, Origin. Retail247 worked directly with Merchandising and IT to collate product data and provide validation and mappings.

Origin is used by Warehouse and Oasis to execute data to concession partners, monitored and supported by Retail247. It also provided the foundation for the full Origin Product Information Management (PIM). This is Retail247’s master product data engine that allows Retail247 to manage data mapping and enrichment for Warehouse and Oasis so they can trade efficiently with their concession partners.

The Results

This solution enabled product data to be repurposed for multiple selling channels and it was deployed successfully and rapidly.
